Converstion To 'Text Edit' Document

I have forwarded a document to someone, who has requested it in a 'Text Edit' format.

I have Windows 10, and the option to save in that format doesn't show up.

Can anyone assist please?

Text Edit is an Apple program.

It should be able to open Word documents, but they may have altered their settings.

Save it as text and as rtf - both should work with Text Edit.  Txt format will lose any styling you've use, rtf should keep formatting.
