Vpn Blocking My Email

I thought having a vpn was good for internet safety. But unless I turn it off, I cannot access my email account. My vpn is set to UK and I cannot understand why. Also I cannot open Nextdoor whilst my vpn is on.

I don’t use a VPN but I’m aware of this type of issue when moving over to using a VPN – apparently it’s worse with banking log-ins.

 

I believe that the main reason for this happening is cookies that have been placed on your PC (when you visited the website without the VPN), are prevented from being accessed by the VPN – and so the website denies access for security reasons.

 

If you manage to access the denied websites with the VPN on, by claiming you’ve forgotten your password (or similar), then this should solve the problem.

I personally wouldn't bother with a VPN in the UK.  I`ve just used it to look at sites that are blocked overseas.  Used to be good for watching iplayer but as fast as we got a good VPN, the BBC seemed to be onto it and blocked it.
