This new fridge seems VERY cold...or maybe my old one was warm?

Looking at temperature dial...do I turn counter clock- wise to reduce temp?

Counter clockwise?

Has it got numbers - the higher the number the colder the temp? Instruction book?

The mark on the right - is that the indicator mark? If so, looks like counter clockwise will warm it up, clockwise will make it colder.

No numbers. Just a dark bark band running around the dial...wider at the top (extra cold) to narrow at the bottom (cold).

That's what I thought, 237SJ. I'll see what happens.

Clockwise is colder.

Anticlockwise is less cold.

That's odd  not having a dial with numbers indicating temperature settings

Wait until the compressor is silent. Turn the dial one way and then the other. When the compressor kicks in - that's the "colder" direction.

(The real answer is to get a small digital fridge thermometer and then you'll know when it's at the right temperature).

What's the fridge maker's name?

There is a curved wedge indicating temperature settings. Not as exact degrees but to indicate comparative temperature.
