In the last two weeks or so my internet explorer browser doesn't seem to be working properly...lots of the pictures on websites aren't loading up, and the font of the writing is looking strange, plus i'm constantly getting the message screen "Cannot find Server" etc and it takes a few attempts to load websites up...what might be wrong and how can i rectify it?

unless you've installed something a bit strange or something, it doesn't really sound like software problems to me (internet explorer i mean).

are you on dial-up, or broadband? and is it just from one site that it does this, or lots of large, popular sites too?

even though i don't think it's software-based, i'd still recommend changing your browser to firefox:
http://www.getfirefox.com
Only one disadvantage with using Non Explorer browsers though - you will have no font or formatting options on sites like this !!
Mozilla Firefox is the dogs !! I has an issue with IE so I changed to Mozilla with apprehension....I have never looked back...dont hesitate...
try cleaning out your temp internet folder and run defrag on your hard drive to make more room, your connection may be droping out due to the time it takes to load a web page, time out from your server if your on dail up.
If you're seeing a strange font in your browser it suggests a registry entry may have become corrupted. Running System Restore should put this right.

As fo3nix and Brooklyn77 have both indicated, however, Firefox is far,far superior to IE (if for no other reason than that pages load a lot faster!). As October has stated, you'll lose the ability to format text on AnswerBank (which, incidentally, is the only problem I've ever experienced with Firefox) but you'll gain a great deal more.
