Incoming only phoneline
Also, if I have an incoming only line, surely I can't have broadband, as that's an outgoing call??

Of course I have a mobile phone. In fact in my house we have 3. I see no reason what-so-ever as to why you can't have a certain type of phone line if you have a mobile phone.
Easiest thing to do is just ring them up, tell them you want an incoming line only, but want to get broadband too. They'll soon tell you if you can or can't do that. They told me I can, and indeed I have broadband, an In Contact line, and mobile phones!!
Just a few things about the In Contact line (I worked in BT's customer services for 4 years!). The In Contact line is designed for people that don't make many calls and when they do make them, they're only through the BT line. The discount they give shouldn't apply if you make calls through another network - such as a mobile or another provider. Of course, BT can't check if you have a mobile or not - they have to trust the customer's word :)
Also, they have automated systems in place that trawl accounts to check for Broadband and InContact, but as the customer base is huge and the systems they use are immense, this could take a while to detect - but just keep an eye out as your next bill may revert to Option 1 as per the terms and conditions!
Obviously, these T&Cs are set out from a company point of view as, like all businesses, BT is going to want to make money. Just watch out for the man that will knock on your door to confiscate your mobile! :D *kidding*
