2 Sky boxes
3 Answers

My friend is going to give me his sky box as he is going away for a couple of years. Is it possible to 'split' my cable like you can with a normal tv ariel and run each of the 2 new lines to separate boxes in order to get sky in 2 rooms?

your sky dish is capable of running 4 signals ie 4 boxes.assuming you have a sky box already, you can put the new box in the room of your choice and then run a new cable( do not split existing one!) from 1 of the other sockets on the dish to this box.the new box will only show 'free to air channels'.if you wish it to mimic your main box ie show pay channels then for 10 per month you can get a 'mirror' card ie it runs whatever channels run on the main box.
