booting up or not!
5 Answers
My pc goes beep, beep pause beep and then nothing happens. I got someone to check it who said that bios needed resetting. I then saw it working, but by the time I got it home it had died. It has just had a replacement cmos battery put in. I have tried hitting it!!

Do you know the type of Motherboard ?
Do you get any messages on the screen ?
Your motherboard manual will tell you how to reset the BIOS. But if you've recently replaced the battery it will have been reset anyway assuming the old battery was dead and/or out for more than 5 minutes.
Was your battery completely flat?
Or out of your computer for more than 5-10 minutes?
In that case you will most likely have lost the factory BIOS settings.
(The battery is what keeps the settings in your BIOS chip when the computer is turned off.)
You will need to reconfigure these -
ask your friend to help if you're not confident of doing it yourself.
Watch him do it - you'll be able to do it yourself next time!

My flatscreen just goes to sleep as if a pc isn't connected to it. It can go back again, its just so frustrating!! No idea what sort of motherboard, all I know is it is a pentium 4 processor and I know very little
