whem trying to download a dvd the programme always fails but will not tell us why can anyone help have wasted so much discs

Hi ROSE44,You need to be a bit more specific about what your problem is.Are you trying to copy a shop bought DVD, if so, Nero will not remove the copyright protection.You need a program like DVDshrink to do this.

Is it a movie you have downloaded from a peer to peer site and now want to burn to disc using Nero? If so, what type of file have you downloaded.Nero handles many video formats, but if they are Rar file, you will need to extract them using a program like WinRar.

What type of discs are you using (CD-R,DVD-R etc) if you are using a 700MB CD-R, I dont think you can burn these to DVD,you will need to select a VCD or SVCD option in Nero, and many DVD players do not play VCD or SVCD.

As for wasting discs, I am assuming you are using -R and not -RW discs.Best to get some -RW discs as you can write over them many times.

dvd fab decrypter will take all copyrights off, dvd shrink will do most films but has problems with red colourded discs.

if tou want tyo do multible copys nero 7 is the best
