everytime I download an MPG from my DV Video Caemra I get the following message from Windows Movie Maker - "mpg is not valid because it does not contain any information" anyone help??? Any other better video capture and design softwares out there???

I don't know if this will help, but it's a free d/l and their "Converter" prog is the business: WinAvi Video Capture

is it a time limited trial version or is is free full version?

It's currently fully free (though I expect that if you don't get it soon they'll start charging - all their other products are "trial only").
