downloading

very much a beginer in this but ive just downloaded a song off tunetribe and i wanted to put it on a cd so on windows media player i clicked on copy to cd or device and all i get is no device detected press f5 to refresh but still i get no joy.i have a new cd in so what is causing the problem could my hard drive (think its called that ha) be faulty? any help gratefully recieved.

Is your CD drive a CD PLAYER or a CD WRITER ?

If it is only a PLAYER you will not be able to create a CD.

Have a look at the writing on the front of the CD drawer, does it say CD-R or CD-RW ? If not it may only be a player.

have checked and it says cd writer so wonder what my problem is ?
