I've put my phone number and postcode into the website and I can get free landline calls, free calls to 28 countries (including New Zealand which is the one important one as my Dad is moving there soon.) for 20.99 a month.

We currently have dialup so any speed increase would be a bonus. We're not bothered about web hosting space.

This really does sound too good to be true. What's the small print I've missed? Or is it for real?

30 connection fee. Minimum sign up for 18 months. Other than that it's bona fide.

Personally though, I'd wait to see what other options come on the market.

Yeah this is going to start a price war between all the ISPs - sit back and wait a couple of months.

I haven't got first hand experience but I've been told that Talk Talk's customer service is appauling.

The only catch seems to be the sign up fee and the long tie-in. They know that they will lose money on this in the short term because it's such good value, but just want to get in first and get a good customer base.
I don't think it would affect you as much as others but there's a bandwidth cap of some sort. You're restricted to using only so many GB per month.
Not something for the average browser of websites/email to stress about but some people like downloading loads of music and movies.

Alright, cheers :-)
I am with wanadoo broadband, i called them to request a MAC number, they then offered me a free month and said they are bringing out some new offers in June.
I looked into the download allowance, stevie21, and it'ssupposed to be 40Gb per month - twice as much as I get from BT, who CHARGE twice as much per month! Has anyone actually signed up for this TalkTalk offer - any feedback?
