When I try to use microsoft works or word when i type all the letters are so close together that you can't read it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled but that hasn't helped.

Anyone got any suggestions

Hi..have you tryed changing the Font or the size of the letters? This might help.
Question Author

Yep tried that

even at font size 72 the letters overlap

it maybe easier to read but i'm gonna use alot of paper and it don't look to good on a cv they will think i'm blind lol

In the version of Word I use, you can alter character spacing in Format>Font>Character Spacing.

Mine is set at Scaling: 100%, Spacing and Position: both normal. No Kerning.

Question Author

Thanks for that but i've been into format>font but i can't see character spacing

any other ideas?

I'm using Word 2003, so it may be elsewhere in Works/other versions of Word. have you tried searching the help file for "character spacing"?

(I know it seems obvious, but I have a reputation for being a tech genius at work that is due in part to no-one else thinking of checking there - but keep it quiet!)

Question Author

I have done a search for character spacing and found nothing, but after following a suggestion from a friend to load it onto another computer to see if its the program or pc i've found that its the pc because it works fine on the other computer.

any ideas on this one?

It's a long shot, but try a different keyboard...
