Web cam interference

I have just purchased one of those Mikomi all in one web cams (built in mic) it works fine when i use it to record off line but as soon as i go onto MSN messenger it squelches, screams etc, i have tried the usual proccess of elimination, reduce sound level etc. but no luck, any ideas anybody would be greatly received !!
