Restore Point XP

To extend the lifetime of a30 day shareware app. I plan to create R.P. install app. uninstall after use and rollback. Do you think this will be successful? Most likely, or merely maybe?

Unfortunately, you will also undo any changes you make to the system subsequent to installing the shareware app. Have you tried the XP restore? I have found it not as robust as Microsoft make it out to be. Why not get a crack for undoing the timing restriction? (search http://www.astalavista.com)
Or, even better, help the poor fellow who wrote the program by purchasing it (or have I just said a swear word?)
Thanx 4 info j2.
1.RP leaves intact the file I created with this software.
2. I can't afford the $90 fee just yet.
3. I agree, RP isn't perfect but if it kills all traces of this shareware which I won't mention by name, oh all right, Video Framer. Then R.P will do for me. I just got to wait 24 more days to see if it fails as there's no countdown.
4. Having never used a crack before, Do I install the shareware, put the crack in the shareware's folder and click on it Or, do I run the crack b4 I install or after I run the shareware? [Usually?] If you read this j2 or anyone please try to answer point 4. for me :-)

Point taken. The crack is either an alternative .exe file: install the app then rename the original .exe file to .old (in case it doesn't work) then import in the "cracked" .exe. Or, you may have a .reg file that will rewrite the registry settings: just double click the .reg file or right click it and install (or something). A third option is that you have a program that will "fix" the app's .exe file: place the "fixer" in the same directory as the app then run it. In all cases you install the application first.
