x box 360 freezing

I have recently purchased this console and it keeps freezing with no error codes or anything.It is stood upright and kept well ventilated.Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this.It happens on all games i play.

I have heard that some games fill the cache too quickly (oblivion for one) and clearing it will allow the console to run smoothly again but I don't know if that is definitely the reason.

Mine also freezes and so do many others so you/we are not alone.I have eliminated over-heating of both the console and the psu.Some games are much worse than others and I have read what Jenky says but dont know how to do it.

Try playing a game without the hdd attached - this will also elimante the hdd from your enquiries !

If I were you and had just bought it,i would take it back as it is faulty.

Found this regarding the cache.....

To solve this problem, reset your Xbox, and hold down the A button as the game is booting up. If any button is held while Oblivion is loading, it will clear its hard drive cache, and create a new one. Once you see the �Bethesda Softworks� logo video, the game is already loaded, and the cache should have been cleared.

Might be worth trying this with the game that freezes also,i think ill try it with bf2 which is my worst game for freezing.
