Whats the cheapest way to run broadband and a home phone? I seem to be paying a lot for them (about 55 per month). Any ideas?

In my house we have done this simply to receive calls. If we need to make out-going calls we use up the minutes on our mobile phones, but mostly use SKYPE (www.skype.com). Skype enables us to make free calls to other online friends of ours, and if we need to call a land/mobile line, we do so for less than 1p a minute.
I used to use skype, but then found voipcheap. If you credit your account with 5, you get free calls to any landline in Europe. I did this months ago and have had free calls ever since, and my 5 is still there. Have a look here

Had you looked at the carphone warehouse deal that launched last month where you get up to 8meg broadband (40GB a month limit) and your phoneline for a total cost pf about 20 odd a month.
