dvd-rw problems

hi,all was going well with my recording to dvd-rw on my pc.

I have now purchased some verbatim dvd-rw 4x certified blank discs (never used this make before)

my pc will not recognise them,it freezes.

Never had problems before with other makes,and as soon as i put a different make disc in..all is ok.

Anyone have any ideas?...thanks
