My Sky+ box keeps

My Sky+ box has developed an annoying "habit" over thew last couple of weeks. It fails to record the last 5 minutes (or so) of programmes!

I have checked that the "system time" is correct (which it is) and I have also tried adding 5 and 10 minutes to the end of programmes (via the "Services, "System Set Up" buttons on the remote).

Can anyone please help?

Have you tried "de-fragging" the hard disk ?

To do this go to the "Services" menu - press

"4-0-1-select" - without looking at the screen - and then select "Sky+ Planner rebuild".

Do I have to have watched all my recorded progs first? After all, I don't want to do something that's going to lose the progs I haven't watched.

No Surreyguy it saves them, I have done this many times. Also it's worth occassionally switching it off at the mains for a few minutes and then on again. It does sometimes get it's knickers in a twist.

My Sky+ box locks up and then the screen goes blue a couple of times a month, so I'm well used to the "switch off at the mains" remedy. I've tried that fix for my current problem, but it did nothing.
