Why does DVD shrink suddenly started to take in excess of 15Hrs to encode a 1.5Hr film?

it usually depends on the size of your cpu as to how long it takes as it uses 100% cpu power , so the bigger the better.make sure you have no other programmes running and using up your resources.


something seems to be keeping your cpu and ram busy.

Can't think what it is though as I shut down all programs and ensure that the anti virus is not running the only thing I can think is that AGV anti virus is running in the background but task manager reveals nothing.

if this is the only thing that runs slow try a different programme.


depending what it is ( avi,divx e.t.c) and what you will do with it try dvd santa or vso's divx to avi, win avi the list goes on , just google them as there are plenty out there.


is it only this particular film or all the films you try to encode as it might be a prob with the films origional coding.
