surfing problems??

Can someone tell me why I'm having a problem connecting to certain websites? I'm using firefox and it wont connect to MSN, Yahoo or BBC homepages.. It also wont connect to AVG to update my anti-virus update.. It keeps saying it "cant connect to the server. The server name cannot be converted to the IP address".. However its ok when im on this site (AB) My ISP is NTL

I'm also with NTL I have the same problem....... This has been happening quite regular of late!!
