Windows 98 error message - real mode system memory allocation failed
Help!
My PC was booting up ok then came to a stop with this message displayed - "While initializing device IOS. Error: Real mode system memory allocation failed" - wouldn't carry on to load Windows 98SE.
It will boot up to Safe mode but not to normal.
To get around the problem I have restored previous registries the past few times I have switched on, but have now run out of good ones!
I've tried googling for answers but none really helped.
Can anyone please tell me what may have caused this and what I can do?
Many thanks.
