Are you burning avi files to dvd-video?

If so it's because it has to transcode them first which is what takes the time. (Approx 4-5hrs on mine), whilst the burning can be done in 10 mins.

is there no way around that? its so frustrating not being able to burn them quicker
nope. sorry. unless you burn them as avi files (data). These will playback on some (not many) dvd players, and you can fit a lot more onto a disc

Ugly Bob,How do you transfer AVI Files to DVD?Thanks.

If you want to burn the avi files to dvd, select 'create data dvd' or something similar

If you want nero to convert them to dvd video, select 'create dvd-video' or something similar.

In both cases, then add the files you want to burn, and follow the menus through.

Thanks,Ugly-bob,it works great.
