For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Usually the reason that your mail program decides that its server address is 127.0.0.1 instead of what you tell it, is because of AntiVirus software.
Are you running some AV sofware (we hope so !) and does it have an Email scanning function of some sort ?
If so, you may have to reconfigure it and tell it your server addresses - POP3 and SMTP etc. Again, I'm not familiar with the particular product you are using.
