hi my pc keeps beeping when i open a coupleof applications, i heard its something to do with the mother board, wat can i do to stop it beeeping?

Not sure what version of operating system you are running but check event viewer. XP right click on my computer and got to manage or for 2000, 98 etc check administrative tools. This should give a clue to any errors the beep is a system beep but I wouldn't have thought opening apps would mean a system borad problem, maybe a failing hard disk or operating system error. Anyway as I say check Eventvwr (u can try typing that into a run command) and see what errors u see.
mine beeps when the hard drive is nearly full.

right, most of the errors on the event viewer originate from netBT and service control manager, ill google these and see wassssssssup, cheers
