You will need some CD/DVD writing software (Nero is good one) blank DVD's and 10minutes of time.....

I had assumed that Gotchaeme had the hardware already.
from your question, it seems that you just want to rip the movie from the DVD to your PC. You can just copy the files across, but they'll take up a lot of room. Download winavi or something similar to convert the files to DivX or AVI files to compress them.

how do u copy them across?
Do you mean you want to copy 'shop bought' DVD's onto your hard drive. To do this you will need a program that will remove the copyright protection on the disc.I use DVDShrink which is pretty easy to use, you just select the DVD as the source, and then select a destination folder on your PC,and it even copies the menus, but there are loads of other programs that do the same.If you simply want to copy stuff from a home made DVD onto your hard drive, try using Nero.It is very easy to do, and there are no disc protection issues to overcome if the disc is already a copy.Just put your disc in the drive and select the copy disc option.
