Not sure if this is the right topic choice but I wondered if anyone knew how much roughly it costs an hour to run a pedestal fan, just a very average one from Tescos not high speed or anything. My son has one in his bedroom and keeps leaving it on all night - driving me mad. I told him they cost a fortune but he thinks just a few pence an hour. I'd love it if I was wrong!

thanks a million - I won't moan so much now.

The average pedestal fan take only 50 watts.
You pay for your electricity in kilowatt hours. So to used one kilowatt hour, you'll have to run the fan for 20 hours.
