You know you get those warnings from Norton that you have had a serious attack which was blocked and it shows you the IP address. Normally I don't take much notice but the last five have all been from San Jose California. Is that unusual, should I be worried ????

ignore anything norton tells you....DOS (denial of service attacks) rarely come for the same place more than once. If they are "serious" you couldn't even log in to MSN or even email. Norton is a little "mellow dramatic" when it comes to warnings. Just chill, everything is fine ;)
Maybe there's a proxy server over there that has lax security - I doubt the person or people responsible for any of this are in California.
Have Norton block the attacks without notifying you
