Does unticking the appropriate boxes in Preferences definitely stop it from transmitting your history list to Real? And where is your history stored on the hard drive anyway?

I don't know the answer to your specific question but I am aware that most 'techie' types I know will not use realplayer as it is packed with spyware etc. Don't know how true that is but I don't use it.
