My digital camera is having problems. When i plug in the UBS lead to transfer the pictures onto my computer it pops up a message saying "Power Surge on Hub Port; a USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port" It has a repair option but it doesnt work and the message pops up again. I've tried it on other people's computers and the same happens so its definately the camera not my computer. Any suggestions?

If the camera has a mains adaptor, ensure that it's connected before connecting to the USB port. If not, try running it through an external, powered, USB hub. If all that fails, it's probably a fault on the camera.
Sounds like your USB hub either isn't powered or hasn't got its power adapter plugged in to the mains.
As Rojash suggests, ensure that the camera is powered by its mains adapter (assuming, of course, that it has one). Also ensure that the lead is plugged directly into a port on the PC (and not into a hub).

If that doesn't work, the simplest solution would be to buy a card reader. Lidl's have got a special offer, starting this Thursday (10 August), with a 24-in-1 card reader for just 7.99. (If there's not a branch of Lidl near you, there are plenty of other places which sell cheap card readers. Try Tesco Extra, Asda or online). [Card readers make the transfer of image files much quicker and easier. Even if you can find a solution to your current problem, it would still be worth investing in one].
