Don't know if this is the right topic, but I will ask the question anyway. I have registered with TPS to reduce my unwanted telephone calls - double glazing etc - but what do I do if I receive an unwanted call? The website isn't that helpful. Do I ask for their number and then report them? Do I say I am registered with TPS before I let them give me all the patter or what would you suggest? What can TPS do?

Hope this link works - it is the TPS complaint form.

If you have been registered with TPS for 28 days or more and still get cold calls - get the information asked for on the form, then post it off. Keep a couple of forms by the telephone.

The TPS forward complaints to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). It is the ICO who are the body responsible for enforcement.
Ask for the registered name of the company and tell them you are TPS registered and not to bother you again.

Then report them to TPS. I believe they should persue them to make sure you are taken of their list.

If you have only just registered with TPS it can take some time before you are removed from the lists.

I am TPS and MPS registered and recieve no calls or junk mail.
or for a bit of fun try this
