Well it would help if you told us a bit more. Eg:

Is this a PCI adaptor for a desktop of a PcCard adaptor for a laptop?

What operating system are you running?

Hi sorry for lack of info ,Its an ethernet card for a desktop running windows 98 SE
If plug and play does not work try going into the Control panel and selecting Add Hardware (not sure what the option is called in 98, it is something like that).

Tell it what the hardware is and it should install the driver.

You should have got a diskette or CD with the driver on it so Windows should look on there.

If not it may need to download it from the internet (if you are connected)
You might find it helpful to go into the CMOS setup. There should an option redetect hardware in there. Then when you reboot you may find that Windows finds it.

If that doesn't help, then, as VHG says, you may be able to add it manually.
