Best Value Internet Provider

Please ! I am with AOL but their customer service is absolutely awful. Is anyone better and less expensive for standard Broadband? Not for me, my daughter is just starting a new job and has to get broadband for her flat. Will she need a landline number before she can register or is that a silly question ?? Thanks ABers

Has never been down on me (sauce...!), never disconnected itself, and haven't had to pay an extra charges for downloads or excessive usage so far. I think I pay around 100.00 a quarter or so, although that includes the costs of the line too.
Although I now use BT Option 3 Broadband, and have never had reason to use BT customer services in the last year, I know people who have been frustrated to the hilt with BT. If its not a problem with their line, they don't seem interested.
The best provider I have used was CSBB, a small company in Suffolk who provide wireless Broadband. Its allways on - no phone needed and they will call day or night and sort out any problems. You get what you pay for.
