I have an Olympus C350 digital camera and have a Fuji xD 64mb picture card that suddenly decides to play up!When I switch on camera a message reads, "Card Set Up" "Format or Power Off", I think that if I select format it will wipe my memory card, I have pics stored on the card that I do not want to lose. Anyone offer any advice please, thankyou.

did you originally format the card in the camera befoer you used it?

copy the pictures from the card onto your computer, and then format the card in your camera.
why dont you transfer all the photos onto your pc. thats what i do with my olympus. then you can put them on a cd.

I did format the card with my camera and have used it for a couple of years without a problem, I do copy all photos from my camera to PC but this time I can't. As i said before, if I format and reset the card I will lose the few photos stored on the card, any other advice pls, thanks.
I take it that you copy your pictures from the camera to PC by using a cable? If you can get a card reader then you should be able to transfer the pictures before formatting. If this doesn't work, then the card is probably faulty. There are sites (and programs) which say they can retrieve files from cards.
