When attempting to convert from dvd to wmv I get the error: missing compatable MPEG/DVD codec. I followed the link to download it and now I have 2 files that arrived zipped, claud.ax and clvsd.ax
Apart from stickin 'em where the sun don't shine, what am I supposed to do with them?
When attempting to convert dvd to avi I get the error:
access violation at address 00E02094. write of address 0010D9FF. The program keeps running but nothing seems to happen.
I have no problems playing any of the above formats so am baffled.
cheers.

I put both claud.ax and clvsd.ax in the system32 folder but typing regsvr32 claud.ax or regsvr32 clvsd.ax returns loadlibrary("the filename") failed - specific module not found.

These are ActiveX files not codecs. You should be able to find the Codec you require on the Internet. You dont say if its MPEG 2/3 or4.Try finding a program called GSpot. this will tell you what codecs you need
