We have BT Yahoo and have been sent a Home Hub kit - whats it for, why, how and what are the advantages of this?!!

There is some info here

It seems it is a router (allowing you to connect more than 1 computer to your broadband connection).

But it seems it is more than that as you can connect handsets.
