I have connected up as per the manual a using Scart and Rf connetion options but to no avail. My TV has 2 scarts one AVI and one AV2 tried using either but no luck.
Can anyone enlighten me as what to do next ? Thanks.

I think the RF cable is acting as a Thru rather than adding the decoded Sky signal - The RF When plugged into the DVD recorder is carrying the terrestrial signals but it is the Scart connection that is carrying the decoded Sky signal. Before you had it was the sky box connected to the tv via RF AND Scart(if so then this is the case - you wouldn't be able to tune in Sky to one of the channels - you would have to watch it on one of the AV channels)? This would allow you to tune the terrestial channels to 1 to 5 and then watch sky on AV1 or AV2 depending on which input you have pluged the Scart cable into. Try plugging the RF from the Sky box to the DVD recorder, then from the Recorder to The TV. Then connect the Scart from the Sky box to the Scart IN on the DVD recorder, from the Recorder to AV1/AV2 depending on which AV extension You want the DVD recorder to be watched on. If the Sky box has 2 Scart outputs then connect the second Scart output directly to the other AV input on the TV. This allows you to watch Sky when the Recorder is recording a Terrestrial channel. A little complicated but once it's set up you won't have to mess around with it.
