Has anybody bought a refurbished camera before from ebay or any other place? Are they reliable? I would like to know if its a safe option to buy a refurbished model please!

not a camera but i bought a refurb microwave from an ebay shop and it's been fine.

I suggest that if it works (and is damage-free) upon receipt then you have no way of attributing any subsequent failure to the fact that it is a refurb model rather than new...in other words, if it is initially fine, it should be 'good as new' and if it fails early, remember that new goods can fail early too.



Fujifilm do a range of refurb cameras on their website and all come with full guarantee.

Might be worth a look. Other manufacturers may do the same.

Thanks. I already know which camera I want, it is an Olympus c-765 and its on ebay.
I bought a refurb fuji 5000 on ebay about a year ago. it looked brand new to me!....faultless.
