Has anyone used that programme that allows you to put your own handwriting on a pc as a font? Is it any good? It seems a bit pricey when I've seen it advertised. Is there a web site that it can be downloaded from?

I'm not sure which program you're referring to but this one has a 30-day free trial period, so you can try it out before committing to any expenditure:
