i can not get the sound to come from the telivison, i only can get it whilst playing a dv

in cd player with mp3 playback and usb port

It may be that your TV is configured for the wrong system. There are a number of different PAL encodings in use in Europe, and some are identical in terms of the picture encoding but use a different system for sound. For example, if you are in the UK and select PAL G, you will get a perfect picture and a faint hissing sound.
