Transferring some Super8 film to p.c question

I wish to try and save some old(ish) super8's, eventually to dvd and would like to know what connection/cables etc would be necessary for transferring between camcorder
(without s-video) and p.c (with t.v tuning card).
Also is there a way to then connect avoiding rummaging around the back of the 'puter each time - i.e. link to usb port
