help with excel please

After inputting on Microsoft Excel, then going to Print Preview, then back to the Excel page, I find that the page/sheet is divided into small sections ( by means of broken lines ).
How do I maintain one page/sheet ?

Try highlighting the area you want to print then go to File , select Print Area then click Set print area.
Also if that isn't what you want you should be able to move those dividing lines you talk about by putting your cursor on them and sliding them to the position you want.

Just found out what the problem was :- you were quite right re the problem somewhere involving the "print" side of things.
I have not used Excel since having purchased a photo printer, and apparently, whilst the printer unit is connected to the pc, the Excel work sheet is divided into smaller sections. Having disconnected the printer from the pc, everything is back to normal.
