I'm trying to connect my cd changer to my head unit which is all fine, but when I select the changer to listen to a cd the display reads 'disc ch' as if its about to play a cd then it reads 'EXT AUX' ???? Its as if its aksing me to connect something else but there is nothing else to connect, its just one lead between changer and head unit. The head unit is the latest minidisc type.
Please help, this is driving me bonkers.
Thanks

sorry to be the bearer of bad news mate but I had the same prob with my kenwood changer a few years back and mine was knackered ! My local car audio place wanted well over 100 quid to fix it and I just never bothered.....do yourself a favour and get a pioneer, jvc or alpine changer on ebay its just my opinion but i would avoid kenwood changers and head units though their speakers are pretty good.

Thanks for your advice plato888, but today I had a stroke of luck. I was passing a car audio shop and popped in to ask and the fella in there had a look and after 5 mins he remembered that just inside the door for the cartridge there is a tiny switch with two positions marked N-O (new or old) I was on old and my head unit was a new type. Silly, but simple. But once again thanks plato.
