If your email is web-based and not attached to your isp - hotmail, yahoo, gmail and so on, switching isp won't make a difference.

If your email is provided by your isp then you will lose it when you change.
What is you email provider?

The bit after the @ in your email address?

E.g. yourname@yourISP.com

As I said I get rather confused.
I use Windows and Outlook express and my provider is Freeserve now Orange but still the mail address is Freeserve.
Also I did mean to ask if I change to another Broadband provider do I require a new moden I think it is called or can I still use this one.
Thank you for your help it is greatly appreciated.
Your new provider may try to sell you a new modem but if it isn't very old and hasn't been causing any problems, use the old one. Mine was less than a year old so I refused the new one.
You will however need a new type of modem if you are changing from dial-up to broadband.
