Sony Ericsson problem

I've got a Sony Ericsson K310i and I'm trying to transfer two video clips - a .3gp file and a .mp4 file. I'm using an XP laptop and using the PC Suite from the Sony Ericsson website but once the clips are on the phone they won't play. I've checked the manual and these files should play on the phone no problem at all. The files were downloaded from Limewire and YouTube and they play great on the laptop. I've recorded videos using the phones camera and these play on both the phone and the laptop. Any suggestions??

try getting a 3.gp to wmv converter and then converting them back to a 3.gp again, either with the same program or a differernt one.
