You can do it by your iPod.
First, put all the music on your PC onto your iPod. Then go to your new laptop (congrats) and Start > My Computer. Your iPod will be under the I: drive and you will need to click on it. The next screen you see will have Calendars, Contacts and Notes.
Now, the file you need to proceed is iPod_Control. It may be hidden. Go to Tools > Folder Options > View > Hidden files and folders. Select the "view hidden files and folders" options" and click OK. You will go back to the screen with Calendars, Notes, Contacts... but with a new folder, iPod_Control. The folder icon though will be faded (showing its a hidden folder.)
Now, create a folder on your desktop called "Music," and open it. Put it side by side with your iPod window.
If you haven't already clicked on iPod_Control in anxiety, do so now. You will be faced with a menagerie of folders. You are looking for the Music folder in iPod_Control. When found, double-click it.
Now you will see loads of folders with F and a number, F00, F01 etc. You will need to go into each folder and select all the music files in the folder and drag and drop it into the Music folder you have just created. Do this with all of the F folders, and enjoy your music.
Hope this helps!!!
