DVD recorders
5 Answers
My Panasonic has died, so I need to buy a new one. Could anyone recommend one?! Have no idea how much to spend or what brand to buy. I don't need anything fancy, just ability to record from TV to DVD. Not hard drive or anything like that. Also, if you have had one, how long did yours last for? Mine lasted 2 years. THANKS

This model has got a hard drive (most of them do nowadays and the saving in buying one without a hard drive is negligible). Both mine are around a couple of years old. I've had no problems at all with them.
I'm a technical liason officer with a one of the biggest consumer electronics manufacturers in the world and I'd recommend Toshiba every time for DVD recorders.

We recently bought a Panasonic DMR EZ45E, it records on to VHS and DVD has a built in freeview box so you can also record freeview channels. You can also copy from VHS to DVD which is useful if you have tapes which you want to keep. Hope this is useful to you. It cost about 250 on line, saving quite a lot on shop price. We always stick with Panasonic as they seem to give us good service.
