you should have a printer icon on the bottom right when its printing (near the time) you will be able to open this (click/double click can't remember) and it should display a list of current job to be printed. if you right click the jobs it will give you the option of cancelling/deleting the jobs.
thanks for help
i clicked on the icon
it showed 2 jobs in queue
deleted them
clicked on icon again
5 jobs in queue
did not give me the option to delete
and it still keeps printing
when i switch on printer
thank you very much again
In that case, something in your startup menu is causing the problem. goto START>RUN and type msconfig, then press ENTER. Click on the tab named startup.
There seems to be far too many applications there - it must take an age to load them all. However, I cannot positively identify a rogue application from the list but if you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE after the next computer startup and click on taskmanager, then click on applications, what applications are showing then ?
Nothing there that could cause your problem. I presume your printer sprang into action again ?
All I can suggest is that you use system restore (If it is currently set to ON) to restore your system to a point at which you know everything was working properly.
I cannot see that your visit to the 50 connect site introduced a malicious bug to your system, but stranger things happen.
