system restore HELP!

i remeber doing some thing to my system restore ages ago and i think i turned it off it somehow is not turned on and not working does anyone know any possiblies of turning it back on i really need it PLZ HELP! , also it says that my system restore is turned on ! which dosent even make sense!!!!!!

Then, in the black screen, type in NET START then press enter. Look for System Restore Service.
Otherwise, you may well have a virus or some spy-ware - I would recommend that you search for SpyBot, run it, then update your virus definitions and run a full scan.
