How do i change the read-only attribute of jpeg files which i have written to cd, to subsequently allow me to copy these cd files to another cd? Thanks in advance for any advice!

You are quite right, burning files to CDs adds the "read only" attribute. To change it you must copy them to a medium which allows change: ie a hard drive, floppy drive, zip drive or rewritable CD. However, the read-only attribute only affects whether you can make changes to the file not whether you can copy them. Thus, you should be able to copy a CD of read-only files from one CD to another.
