Hi
I've started my laptop up this morning. Normally a series of Dialog boxes come up after the windows logo saying, Windows is starting up, Establishing network connection, Applying computer setting, and finally applying security policy before finishing on the CTRl, ALT & DEL screen to log on.

This normally takes 10 seconds however this morning it is taking ages. It's taken it an hour to get to the Applying Computer settings box.

Anyone know what this is caused by and what can be done?!

sounds like a fault on the network - cable, hub/switch, or server.
It could be one of many things. More than likely a group policy change / error or DNS problem I would say.
sounds to me like you have some sort of spyware running in the startup. Run some anti spyware software a couple of times.
